Somya Singh

Somya Singh currently serves as Chief of Staff to the CEO at the Reserve Bank Innovation Hub since August 2021, following a tenure as Senior Associate. Before this role, Somya was a Research Assistant at Carnegie India from February 2020 to July 2021, where research focused on central bank digital currencies, digital payments, and technology supply chains, in addition to organizing the Anahita Speaker Series aimed at empowering young women professionals. Earlier experiences include internships and volunteer work at various organizations, including fundraising and communications roles at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, monitoring and evaluation support for USAID projects in Kenya and Haiti at the SUNY Center for International Development, and contributions to communications efforts at SEEDS, Hindustan Times, and Oxfam India. Somya holds a Master in International Affairs with a focus on Development Economics and International Development from the University at Albany and a Bachelor in Mass Communication from Symbiosis Centre for Media & Communication.
