Bernard Manda

Bernard Manda is an experienced economist currently working at The Reserve Bank of Malawi since August 2022, focusing on economic research and policy to produce vital statistics and analyses for monetary and financial sector policy formulation. Prior to this role, Bernard served as a Centralised Credit Back Office Operations Clerk at the National Bank of Malawi from January 2020 to July 2022, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with lending procedures and accurately processing credit instructions. Bernard also gained valuable experience as a Management Trainee at Groupe Castel Malawi Limited from August 2018 to March 2019, with a focus on business conduct, management decision making, and leadership in the procurement section. Bernard holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics from the University of Malawi, Chancellor College, obtained from October 2013 to June 2018.
