Marina Bassi

Lead Education Economist at World Bank

Marina Bassi serves as the Human Development Program Leader for Central America and the Dominican Republic at The World Bank since August 2017, previously holding the position of Senior Education Economist. Prior to this, Marina Bassi worked at the Inter-American Development Bank, where roles included Advisor in the Vice Presidency of Sectors and Knowledge and Senior Economics Education Specialist, starting in December 2007 and concluding in January 2023. Marina Bassi earned a PhD in Economics from UCLA and also studied at Universidad de 'San Andrés'.
