Simone Robbers

Simone Robbers is an experienced finance professional currently serving as Assistant Governor and General Manager of Strategy, Governance, and Sustainability at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand since February 2019. Robbers also holds a board member position at Toitū Tahua: Centre for Sustainable Finance from August 2021. Prior to these roles, Robbers worked at the Financial Markets Authority - New Zealand for several years, where responsibilities included strategic direction, risk management, and investor capability development. Early career positions included Head of Primary Regulatory Operations and Manager of Regulatory Policy at the Financial Markets Authority. Robbers began a career in compliance as Risk and Compliance Manager at AXA New Zealand. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Otago.
