Avel Ortiz is a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer with a diverse background in design and application engineering, specializing in downhole tools and oilfield technologies. Currently at Reservoir Group since September 2021, Avel has previously held senior positions at MAP Oil Tools, Disruptive Downhole Technologies, and BJ Services Company, among others, where responsibilities included new product development, tool validation testing, and supervising engineering teams. Avel holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an Associate of Science in Drafting and Design Technology from Coastal Bend College. With a robust skill set in project management, technical documentation, and quality assurance, Avel has a proven track record in delivering innovative solutions in the oil and gas sector.
