Lead Wound Nurse at Residential

Sarah Westerhus has a strong background in nursing with experience in various healthcare settings. Sarah began their career as a Registered Nurse at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in 2000. Sarah then worked as a Cath Lab RN at Advocate Health Care from 2002 to 2018, where they performed diagnostic and interventional procedures. Additionally, they served as an Interventional Radiology RN at Advocate Good Samaritan in 2014. Currently, Sarah is the Lead Wound Nurse at Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice, managing patient care and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Sarah Westerhus completed their Bachelor of Science in Nursing at West Suburban College of Nursing from 1996 to 2000. Sarah then pursued massage therapy at National University of Health Sciences from 2004 to 2005. In 2000, they obtained their Registered Nurse certification from Concordia University Chicago. Sarah also holds additional certifications in wound care and ostomy from the National Alliance of Wound Care & Ostomy® obtained in 2023, and Basic Life Support obtained in 2022.
