Jamie Fergerson, MS, SPHR, CDE

Jamie Fergerson, MS, SPHR, CDE has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to 2023. Their most recent position is as the Senior Director of Institutional Partnerships at Resilia, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, Jamie was the Executive Director of The Atlanta Pride Committee, Inc. from June 2015 to January 2023. They also served as the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors at the same organization from January 2011 to June 2015.

Jamie's involvement in the City of Atlanta includes being an Executive Committee Member on the Mayor's LGBT Advisory Board from June 2018 to October 2020. They have also worked at Susan G. Komen as a Senior Mission Manager from July 2013 to June 2015, and as a Community Outreach & Grants Manager from July 2013 to March 2015.

In addition, Jamie has experience working at Georgia State University as the Urban Literacy Clinic Director from May 2011 to July 2013. Before that, they worked at REI as an Outreach Specialist & Special Events staff member from August 2005 to June 2011. Jamie's previous roles also include working at the Girl Scout Council of Northwest Georgia as an Outdoor Education & Program Administration staff member from May 2002 to July 2005, and at Hands On Atlanta as a Youth & Family Service VISTA from June 2001 to May 2002.

Jamie Fergerson has a strong educational background with a focus on education policy, sociology, political science, and psychology. Their educational journey began at Rome High School, where they excelled academically and earned the titles of Valedictorian and STAR Student. After high school, Jamie attended Georgia State University, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Women's Studies and Psychology in 2008. They continued their education at Georgia State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Political Science in 2009. Jamie then pursued a Master of Science degree in Educational Policy Studies, specializing in the Social Foundations of Education, which they completed in 2013.

In addition to their formal education, Jamie has also earned several certifications. They obtained certifications in Lean Six Sigma, including Green Belt, Yellow Belt, and White Belt, from the Aveta Business Institute. They also became a Certified Diversity Executive through the Institute for Diversity Certification. Furthermore, Jamie holds the prestigious Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).

Currently, Jamie is pursuing an Executive MBA from the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University, expected to be completed in 2023. Their educational background and certifications reflect a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development in various fields.
