Kate Sheahan McElroy

Kate Sheahan McElroy has worked in a variety of roles since 2009. Kate began their career as an Air Talent-Weekend at Regent Communications in 2009. In 2010, they became a Promotions Assistant at 95.9 The River with NextMedia Group. Kate then held the same role at Q101/The Loop with Emmis Communications in 2011. That same year, they also became a Promotions Assistant at The Loop/101.1 FM News with Merlin Media LLC. In 2012, they were a Special Events Coordinator at AgeGuide (formerly Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging). In 2013, they were a Promotions Director for 103.9 The Fox with NextMedia Group. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at The University of Chicago in various roles, including Prospect Research Analyst, Assistant Director of Event Data Management, and Development Assistant. From 2019 to 2022, they were a Grants Manager and Research and Grants Associate at Northwestern Settlement. Kate is currently a Research and Learning Manager at Resilia.

Kate Sheahan McElroy obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication- Radio Production from Illinois State University between 2006 and 2010. Kate then completed a Study Abroad Certificate in Radio & Television Production from Dong-Ah Institute of Media and Arts in 2007. Kate concluded their educational career with a Master of Science in Philanthropic Leadership from the University of Denver between 2013 and 2016.
