Rachel Bogin Costa has over 14 years of experience in the nonprofit and marketing industries. In 2023 they began working as the Philanthropic Partnerships Manager, East Coast for Resilia. In this role, they work to strengthen and uplift nonprofit organizations through trust-based philanthropy principles. Prior to this role, from 2020-2023, Rachel was the Director of Advancement for the Children's Environmental Literacy Foundation. During their time there, they led the strategic development of diverse revenue streams, with a focus on corporate giving lead generation, long-term, nationwide growth, and pivoting to virtual space during the Covid-19 pandemic. From 2014-2020, Rachel served as the Director of Advancement for the DreamYard Project. During their time there, they cultivated and stewarded new funding partnerships, strategic initiatives and areas of expansion that served to create new streams of revenue for DreamYard. From 2007-2014, Rachel worked at City Eventions, first as the Vice President of Creative Services and then as the Creative Director. In this role, they managed a marketing and creative strategy team, working with clients to turn innovative event concepts into a reality. Lastly, in 2007, Rachel worked as a Production Assistant for City Outdoor, where they were responsible for creating and maintaining sales sheets for bulletin and wallscape locations nationwide, calculating square footage of creative mural copy, and creating renderings and mockups for sales team members.
Rachel Bogin Costa began their education in 2001, completing their BA in Psychology from Boston University in 2005. Rachel then went on to receive their MA in Criminology & Deviance from John Jay College (CUNY) in 2007. In 2014, Rachel earned their Certificate in Fundraising from New York University. In 2018-2019, they completed the New York Community Trust Leadership Fellowship at Baruch College, studying Nonprofit Leadership and Management. Rachel has also obtained two additional certifications from LinkedIn, Corporate Finance: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in October 2022 and Moving DEI from Intention to Impact with Ruchika Tulshyan in October 2022.
