Jessica Llewellyn has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biomedical research. Jessica started their career as a Laboratory Demonstrator at Nowgen in 2015, where they likely gained experience in laboratory techniques and procedures. In 2012, they joined the University of Manchester as a PhD student, conducting research on liver fibrosis and investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying matrix production in this condition. During their PhD, they were funded by the MRC and worked under the supervision of Karen Piper Hanley. After completing their PhD in 2016, Jessica joined PBG Healthcare Consulting in 2018 as a member of the consulting team, where they likely provided expertise and support in healthcare-related projects. Alongside their consulting role, they also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Pennsylvania from 2017 to 2023. Jessica then pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Science from The University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2011. Continuing their education, they went on to earn a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, General from Cardiff University/Prifysgol Caerdydd, completing it in 2012. Finally, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Development (Liver Fibrosis) from The University of Manchester, which they received in 2016.
