Matthias Veit

Matthias Veit has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and software development. Matthias co-founded Some Engineering Inc. in 2021 and currently holds the position of Co-Founder. Prior to this, Matthias worked as a Software Architect & Consultant at Selbständig starting from 2010. From 2017 to 2021, they served as an Engineering Manager and Technical Lead at MOIA. Before that, Matthias held similar positions at Mesosphere, Inc. from 2014 to 2017. Matthias also co-founded Parkonaut in 2011 and worked there until 2016. Some of their earlier roles include Head of IT Development at scoyo GmbH from 2007 to 2010 and Software Architect at arvato mobile GmbH from 2003 to 2007. Matthias began their career as a Software Engineer at Fraunhofer FOKUS in 2001 and later worked as a Software Engineer at Pinuts media+science GmbH from 2000 to 2001. Matthias also had a brief stint as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at TU Berlin, Computer Science in 2003. Overall, Matthias Veit has extensive experience in engineering, software architecture, and management roles.

Matthias Veit received a Dipl. Ing. / Master degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin from 1995 to 2003. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a Diploma from Technische Universität Berlin in March 2003. Matthias also obtained certifications as a Certified Enterprise Architect from Sun Microsystems in August 2004, as a Certified UML Professional from OMG in March 2007, and completed the courses "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" and "Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark" from Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne in June 2013 and June 2017, respectively.
