Brian Prest

Brian Prest is a Fellow at Resources for the Future, with a research focus on applied economics related to energy and environment. Brian has a strong academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Environmental & Resource Economics and an M.A. in Economics from Duke University. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Analyst at NERA Economic Consulting, where economic and financial analyses of energy investments were conducted, and as an Analyst at the Congressional Budget Office, focusing on economic modeling of energy and environmental legislation. Brian's research interests encompass econometrics, machine learning, environmental policy design, electricity markets, and oil and gas.
