Resources for the Future
Mark Cohen is currently the Justin Potter Professor of American Competitive Enterprise, Emeritus at Vanderbilt University, a position held since August 1986. In addition to this role, Cohen serves on the advisory board of anydish and as a co-founder and consultant for link-il, both starting in 2024. Other board affiliations include membership on the Board of Advisors for the Entrepreneurship Forum Israel and as a University Fellow at Resources for the Future since 2008. Cohen has also contributed to the Global Reporting Initiative as a member of the Board of Directors for GRI US Focal Point since 2010 and was part of ExxonMobil's External Sustainability Advisory Panel from 2009 to 2023. Previous experience includes senior economist roles at the United States Sentencing Commission and the Federal Trade Commission focused on regulatory impact and consumer protection. Cohen holds a PhD in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University and a B.S.F.S. in International Economics from Georgetown University.
