Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at RespiQ

Cristian D'Alessandro's work experience starts in 2007 with a trainee position at BRK-TECH. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Tissue Engineering Researcher at Universidad Favaloro and also served as a teaching assistant for courses like "Introduction to Networks and Internet" and "Calculus I."

In 2013, Cristian joined the University of Patras as an Early Stage Researcher for the TECAS project in cardiovascular tissue engineering. During their time there, they developed and studied the calcification of heart valves in a custom in vitro system.

Cristian then became an Executive Board Member for the TECAS project at the European Commission from 2013 to 2016.

From 2017 to 2019, Cristian worked at Synchron Lab Automation as a Technical Engineer, where they designed and developed custom solutions for laboratory automation. Cristian was also involved in project management, troubleshooting, and programming tasks.

Starting in 2019, they joined The Surgical Company PTM, first as a Project Manager and later as a Research Development Team Lead. In these roles, Cristian was responsible for managing cross-functional teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, communicating with stakeholders, providing technical guidance, and managing budgets and resources.

Most recently, in 2023, Cristian joined RespiQ as the Chief Technology Officer, overseeing the company's technology strategy and operations.

Cristian DAlessandro's education history begins with attending La Salette Institute from 2002 to 2007, where they completed a degree in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician and earned the title of Electronics Technician. Cristian then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Universidad Favaloro, which they completed from 2008 to 2011. Following this, from 2011 to 2013, DAlessandro obtained a Master's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering also from Universidad Favaloro. Lastly, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cardiovascular and Tissue Engineering at the University of Patras, completing this degree from 2013 to 2021.
