Jeewantha Jayasekera

Jeewantha Jayasekera serves as the Vice President of Engineering at Resplendent Ceylon since February 2022, having previously held roles such as Assistant VP - Engineering and Head of Engineering (Group) at the same organization. Prior to this, Jeewantha was Chief Engineer at ONYX Hospitality Group from February 2016 to February 2022 and at Vakarufalhi Island Resort for a brief period in late 2015. Jeewantha's extensive experience in engineering spans multiple companies, including a long tenure at John Kells Maldivean, where roles included Chief Engineer and Engineer in hotel operations and project management. Jeewantha began an engineering career at BOI in Sri Lanka and also contributed to education as a lecturer at ITEES. Academic achievements include a Master's degree in Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technologies from HHO in the UK and an MBA focused on Business Administration and Management from the National Institute of Business Management in Sri Lanka. Currently, Jeewantha is pursuing a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Environmental Management.
