Amadi Chukwunonye

Amadi Chukwunonye has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Amadi is currently working as a General Practitioner/Occupational Health Physician at Response Plus Medical services, where they perform pre-employment and fitness for work assessments, as well as manages sickness absence and provides advice for early return to work. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Medical Officer at BUH Medical Centre from 2017 to 2021.

Amadi also worked as a Medical Board Consultant at AXA Gulf, where they were responsible for medical claims and utilization analysis, hospital audit visits, and providing medical advice on international travel policy. Before that, they worked as a Medical Claims Officer at Nextcare from 2018 to 2019.

Earlier in their career, Amadi served as a Medical Officer at Oxford Hospital and as a Medical Practitioner/Mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) at Nigerian Defence Academy. Amadi also gained experience as a House Officer/FY1 at Usman Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto. During this time, they underwent rotations in various departments and specialties, which qualified him for full registration to practice independently. Overall, Amadi has a strong background in medical practice, ranging from general medicine to occupational health and medical administration.

Amadi Chukwunonye completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree at the University of Jos from 2006 to 2013, with a focus on medicine. Following this, they pursued further education in the field of Occupational Medicine. They obtained a Diploma in Occupational Medicine (DoccMed) from the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM) of the Royal College of Physicians of London. They also completed a diploma in Occupational Medicine from Trinity Occupational Health Solutions, which is approved by the Faculty of Occupational Medicine in the UK. Additionally, Amadi Chukwunonye obtained certifications in Noise and Hearing Protection from Asean Online Education AOE and a Licence to practice from the Department of Health Abu Dhabi. They also obtained GMC registration from the General Medical Council and a Licence to practice from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria. Amadi Chukwunonye further acquired certifications in various medical fields such as European Trauma Course, Pre Hospital Trauma Life Support, TBOSIET, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS), and H2S Induction from different institutions and organizations. Their most recent certification was obtained in June 2022.
