Daniel Fuentes is an experienced administrative director currently leading operations at Climate Engagement Canada (CEC) and the Responsible Investment Association since September 2021. With a strong background in project management, Daniel previously served as a senior project manager at MEDA, focusing on blended finance initiatives to enhance economic well-being across multiple regions. Additionally, Daniel has held various roles, including board member at the Carolinian Canada Coalition and manager of social enterprise and finance at the Pillar Nonprofit Network and VERGE Capital. Daniel's academic credentials include an MBA from Ivey Business School and a BBA from The University of Texas at El Paso.
Responsible Investment Association
The Responsible Investment Association (RIA) is Canada's leader on responsible investment (RI). RI refers to the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into investment selection and management. We are a national, membership-based organization composed of financial institutions, mutual fund companies, investment firms, financial advisors, and various organizations and individuals who practice and support responsible investing. The RIA and its members strongly believe that RI is a valuable investment tool to enhance returns, reduce risk, and catalyze positive social change.
