Catherine Flay

Catherine Flay is an accomplished leader in the field of arts and ideas, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Restart Lives since February 2023. Previously, Catherine held multiple roles at The Institute of Art and Ideas from March 2018 to February 2023, including Managing Editor and Projects Lead, where responsibilities included creating business vision, strategy, and managing flagship projects like the HowTheLightGetsIn festival. Additional experiences include consultancy roles and positions at Lafiy Press, New School of the Anthropocene, University of Cambridge, and Birkbeck, University of London. Academically, Catherine holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge, a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of London, and an MRes from the London Consortium.
