Nissa Varithevan, CIPHI, has extensive experience in food safety, currently serving as Senior Manager in Food Safety at Restaurant Brands International since February 2016, after progressing through roles as Manager, Senior Analyst, and Analyst within the same organization. Prior experience includes positions as Public Health Inspector and Student Public Health Inspector at York Region, where Nissa conducted inspections related to health and safety regulations, and as Student Beach Public Health Inspector, focusing on water quality analysis. Earlier work at Environment and Climate Change Canada involved data analysis and website testing related to weather documentation. Nissa holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Health & Safety from Ryerson University, a Bachelor of Arts in Health Studies and Sociology from the University of Toronto Scarborough, and a Certificate in Food Science from the University of Guelph.
