Maria Albulescu Mba, Rdi, Ap I

Maria Albulescu, MBA, RDI, LEED AP IDC has a diverse work experience in the retail and design industry. Maria started their career as an Interior Design Intern at Artistic Tile in 2009. From there, they joined Sears as a Retail Store Planner from 2010 to 2012. Maria then moved on to Walgreens, where they held various roles including Facility Planner - Stockroom Operations from 2012 to 2013, Store Planner Designer from 2013 to 2017, and finally as a Store Planning Manager from 2017 to present. In 2018, Maria also became involved with the Retail Design Institute, serving as Vice President of the Chicago Great Lakes Chapter from 2018 to 2020, and currently as the President since 2020.

Maria Albulescu holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Strategy and Decision Making from DePaul Driehaus College of Business. Maria obtained this degree from 2021 to 2022.

Prior to pursuing their MBA, Maria obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Interior Design from The Art Institutes, where they studied from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Maria obtained a Residential Interior Decor Certificate in Interior Design from The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg in 2006.

Maria has also obtained additional certifications. Maria holds a Master of Business Administration, Concentration in Business Strategy and Decision Making from DePaul University, obtained in November 2022. Furthermore, they are a LEED AP Interior Design + Construction certified by the U.S. Green Building Council, which they obtained in February 2016.
