Wahaj Ahmed

Wahaj Ahmed is the Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Retailo Technologies. Prior to that, they served as an Associate at McKinsey & Company from July 2017 to June 2020, where they worked with clients across different industries on designing national payment strategies, setting-up and implementing large scale transformations, and other projects. Wahaj was also an active member of the office, serving as a cohort lead.

Before McKinsey, Wahaj served as the Assistant General Manager at Careem from May 2016 to July 2017. In this role, they were responsible for the growth of the entire city, growing revenues and transactions by 150% in just 5 months. Wahaj also digitized the core captain onboarding journey, increasing onboarding capability from 150 captains per month to over 3000 per month. In addition, Wahaj managed a team of over 80 people with a focus on developing talent and succession planning. Wahaj was also involved in all strategic decisions regarding the growth of the country.

Wahaj Ahmed attended Lahore University of Management Sciences, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance with a minor in Computer Science. Wahaj also completed A-Levels at St. Patricks High School Karachi, where they studied Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, and earned 3 A's and 2 B's.
