Anna Segarra Fas

Anna Segarra Fas has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Anna has been working as a Research Manager at RetailX since October 2021. Prior to that, Anna served as the Chief Executive Officer at Cultivos Energeticos Segarra Fas S.L. and Biotopia S.L. from 2019 and 2017 respectively.

Before transitioning into executive roles, Anna was a PHD Student at the Medical Research Council from January 2017 to October 2021. Anna focused on studying the molecular mechanisms behind TOKAS syndrome using embryonic stem cells as a disease model. Anna gained extensive experience in analytical techniques and technical expertise in genetic modification tools and stem cell culture.

Additionally, Anna served as the Local Committee President at PICLS (Postgraduates in the School of Life Sciences, Dundee) from April 2019 to September 2020. Anna was responsible for organizing scientific events, leading meetings, and implementing operational procedures.

Anna also held positions as a Sponsor at IBER Foundation, Assistant Executive Director at OKOTION S.L., and Intern at both the Medical Research Council and Wageningen UR.

Anna started their academic journey by pursuing a degree in Life Sciences at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN) from September 2012 to June 2016.
