Dirk Fruitema

Dirk Fruitema has a diverse work experience. Dirk started their career as an Energy & Environment Intern at Medford City Hall, where they collected energy data and completed emissions inventories and climate action plans. Dirk then worked as an Environmental Business Intern at the Netherlands Consulate in New York, researching the US offshore wind market and assisting with organizing international events.

Dirk's next role was at HEINEKEN, where they served as a Regional Key User Perfect Execution and later as a Local Project Coordinator, implementing sales initiatives and analyzing trade census for sales strategies.

At Suitsupply, Dirk held multiple roles. Dirk started as an Online Sales Specialist and then became an Online Sales Operations Manager, where they identified and resolved technical and operational issues. Dirk later became a Product Owner Custom Made, where they successfully rolled out an internal Custom Made service, achieved significant sales growth, and expanded the development team.

Their most recent position at Suitsupply was as a Senior Product Owner. In this role, Dirk managed multiple product teams, set up structured OKR and dashboarding, and facilitated stakeholder communication.

Dirk Fruitema obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Business Studies from the University of Amsterdam, from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Environmental Studies from Tufts University, from 2007 to 2011. Their education journey began at the American School of Paris, where they earned an International Baccalaureate degree from 1998 to 2007. In addition to their academic qualifications, Dirk Fruitema has also obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) certification from the Scrum Alliance in March 2021.
