Nicklas S. E.

Nicklas S. E. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicklas S. is currently serving as the EVP of Organizational Development and Communications at Retina Specialty Institute since April 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Organizational Development Coordinator in the same company from October 2022 to April 2023.

Before joining Retina Specialty Institute, Nicklas worked at the Danish Ministry of Defence as a Special Advisor from January 2022 to April 2022 and as the Head of Section from July 2019 to December 2021.

Nicklas S. also served as an Academic Officer at Miljøministeriet from August 2017 to June 2019. Additionally, they had a brief stint as an External Consultant at Min A-kasse from April 2017 to June 2017.

In terms of international experience, Nicklas worked at the U.S. Department of State as an Economic Affairs Assistant at the Embassy of the United States in Denmark from September 2016 to November 2016. Prior to that, they were a Political Intern at the Embassy of the United States in Denmark from February 2016 to September 2016.

Nicklas S. also gained experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark as a Communication and Innovation Intern at the Embassy of Denmark in Korea from August 2015 to January 2016.

Lastly, Nicklas began their professional journey as a Member of the Danish Golf National Team at Dansk Golf Union, a role they held from 2003 to 2009.

Nicklas S. E. has a diverse education history. Nicklas S. holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Political Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Nicklas S. also spent time as an exchange student at Boston University, where they studied Cybersecurity, Strategic Intelligence, State Building, and Failure. Additionally, they attended Copenhagen Business Academy, focusing on Strategic Communication and Event Management.

Nicklas has also participated in several postgraduate and summer school programs. Nicklas S. completed the Postgraduate and Ph.D. Summer School at Central European University, studying Internet Governance, Civil Society, and Policy Advocacy. Nicklas S. also attended the Graduate Summer School at the University of Tartu, specializing in Regional Security and Cybersecurity. Furthermore, they participated in the Graduate Summer School at Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) MFA Russia MGIMO, focusing on Russian Foreign Policy.

Prior to their higher education, Nicklas earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Political Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Nicklas S. completed their secondary education at Falkonergårdens Gymnasium, where they pursued the Team Danmark STX program in Political Science, English, and Psychology.

In addition to their formal education, Nicklas holds a certification as a Certified Smart Growth Advisor (SGA) from Disruption Advisors, which they obtained in March 2023.
