Carlos Ciller

Carlos Ciller is the co-founder and CEO of Retinai. Carlos was previously the director of Global Business Development Lausanne for Innovation Forum from September 2015 to December 2016. In August 2017, they became a member of the board of directors for MoonshineLabs, and held this position until September 2018. From January 2013 to December 2016, Ciller worked as a research assistant and PhD candidate at Centre d'Imagerie Biomédicale (CIBM), where they worked on computer assisted treatment planning systems for intraocular tumors at the Lausanne University Hospital (Department of Radiology) and the ARTORG Center (Universität Bern). In August 2012, they completed a research internship in neuroscience, image registration, and brain imaging with C/C++ and Matlab at EPFL. Ciller also has experience in project management, having served as a project manager for R+D at Esteve Teijin Healthcare from September 2011 to January 2012. Additionally, they have worked in IT assistance and administrative support at Proyecto Universidad Empresa PUE from February 2009 to August 2011.

Carlos Ciller is a Visiting PhD Student in the Computer Science department at Imperial College London. Carlos has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Machine Learning / Image Processing / Ophthalmology from the University of Lausanne - UNIL, a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), and an Engineer's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from UPC - ETSETB TelecomBCN.
