Richard Peters

Richard Peters, MD, PhD, currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Pharming Group since September 2023. Peters is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of TellBio, Inc. since August 2019, and holds the position of Chairman of the Board and Chair of the Compensation Committee at Aprea Therapeutics. Additionally, Peters has been an Investor and Corporate Advisor at Aura Biosciences since 2014, and serves as the Lead Independent Director & Chair of the Nomination & Governance Committee at Kineta, with a tenure until June 2025. Formerly, Peters was the President, CEO, and Director of Yumanity Therapeutics from 2019 to 2022, and Richard held positions as Corporate Advisor and President, CEO, & Director at Merrimack Pharmaceuticals between 2017 and 2021. Peters' experience includes a role as SVP at Sanofi focusing on Global Rare Diseases from 2015 to 2017, and co-founding X4 Pharmaceuticals in 2014. Peters received a degree as a Howard Hughes Post-doctoral Fellow in Structural Biology from Harvard Medical School, completing studies from 1993 to 1996.
