Leland Smith

Leland Smith is an experienced professional in network and cyber security, currently serving as the Assistant Director of Security & Access Control at Retirement Systems of Alabama since March 2022. Prior to this role, Leland worked as a Systems Engineer at Securiteam, focusing on enterprise projects for critical hospital environments, and at SureView Systems, designing custom solutions for security command centers. Leland's earlier experience includes network engineering at Vision Security Technologies and various technical roles at Spectrum, where contributions were made towards network security and customer support. Leland began a career in operations as a Branch Sales & Operations Manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, achieving significant growth in market share and profitability. Leland holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Network Administration and an Associate of Science in Information Technology, both from Colorado Technical University.
