Mark Matzke

Mark Matzke is a business executive with over fifteen years of experience in the healthcare industry. Mark is currently an advisor at Retrace, a healthcare consulting firm. Prior to joining Retrace, Mark served as the Senior Advisor at Michael Best Strategies from October 2020 to February 2021. In this role, they advised clients on strategic and financial goals, navigating challenges in the rapidly changing market, and solidifying their business and operating models.

Before joining Michael Best Strategies, Mark spent three years at Humana as the SVP of Employer Group and Specialty from October 2017 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the group medical, group specialty, and individual specialty lines of business, which represented $7B in annual revenue. From March 2014 to October 2017, Mark served as the VP and Chief Actuary of Employer Group Actuarial and Risk Management. Prior to that, they were the VP of Small Business Risk Management from April 2010 to February 2014 and the VP of Specialty Benefits from October 2008 to March 2010. Mark began their career at HumanaDental as the VP and COO from April 2005 to September 2008.
