Peter Merkert

Peter Merkert has had a varied and successful career in software development. Peter began their career in 2007 as an intern at Hewlett-Packard, where they wrote a log analysis tool in Java. In 2012, they became a student assistant at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) / University of Karlsruhe (TH), where they standardized documents and enhanced available excel files with VBA scripts. In 2013, they worked at SAP as a Performance Engineering (Thesis Student) and later as a Performance Engineering (Working Student). In 2014, they became an ERP Developer at CCS Group (Customer Care & Solutions Holding AG). In 2016, they joined TT Games Ltd as a Junior Render Tech Programmer. In 2017, they worked at both Salamantex GmbH as a Lead Frontend Developer and Lemundo GmbH as a Full-stack Developer. Currently, they are Co-Founder and CTO at retraced, a sustainability management platform.

Peter Merkert obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) between 2011 and 2014. Peter then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Computer Games Engineering from Newcastle University between 2015 and 2016.
