Michael Briscoe

Michael Briscoe is an experienced professional in the field of human services and education, currently serving as Practice Manager and Administrator at Retreat Behavioral Health since February 2020. Previously, Michael held the position of Dean of School Culture at Achievement First from July 2022 to August 2023 and worked as a Behavior Interventionist and Assistant Football Coach at Amistad High School from January 2019 to November 2022. Michael's background also includes serving as a Mental Health Clinician at Integrated Wellness Group and a Director of Public Safety Communications for the City of New Haven for nearly two decades. Additionally, Michael has experience as a Firefighter and as an Advanced Career Training Coordinator at New Haven Job Corps Center. Academically, Michael is ABD in a Doctor of Philosophy program in Multidisciplinary Human Services focusing on Fire Science and Administration from Capella University and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Counseling with a Minor in Sociology from Post University.
