Art Producer at Retro Studios

Beverly Garland has had a varied and successful career in the art and animation industry. In 2020, they began working as an Art Producer for Retro Studios. From 2019 to present, they have been the Artist and Owner of I Love to Draw Cats, a business creating realistic colored pencil portraits of people's beloved feline companions. From 2011 to present, they have been an Animator, Illustrator, and Muralist for B. Garland Studio. From 2015 to present, they have been the Creative Director for Cobrabus Adventures. From 2009 to present, they have been a Licensed Avatar Master for The Way of Avatar. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Discovery Guide for the Houston Museum of Natural Science. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Career Development Specialist for Mary-Margaret Network. From 2008 to 2009, they were the Owner and Consultant for PortfolioMentor: Your Guide to Game Art Jobs. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Certified Scrum Master and Game Development Consultant for Self Employed. Lastly, from 2005 to 2007, they were a Certified Scrum Master and Art Production Manager for NCSoft.

Beverly Garland attended St.Edward's University from 1983 to 1985, studying Fine Art before leaving with an incomplete degree. Beverly then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1985 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Afterward, they returned to The University of Texas at Austin from 2002 to 2008, earning a Masters in Geography and the Environment while minoring in Public Affairs. In addition to their degrees, Beverly Garland holds a number of certifications, including a Licensed Avatar Master from Star's Edge International\u00ae obtained in 2014, a Texas Commercial Drivers License, Class B obtained in 2018, a Texas School Bus Driver Safety Training Certificate obtained in 2018, and a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) obtained from the Scrum Alliance in 2007.
