Ira Sopic

Ira Sopic is an experienced professional in the fields of event management and business development, currently serving as the Sector Head at Reuters Events since July 2018, where responsibilities include leading a team of conference organizers, business development managers, and content producers, while developing event strategies and managing budgets. Prior to this role, Ira held the position of Global Project Director, overseeing North American events, sponsorship strategies, and sales coordination. Earlier career experiences include roles as Business Development Manager at Erste&Steiermärkische Bank, Business Development Project Manager at Altair Asesores, and various positions focused on research and organization in both diplomatic and educational settings. Ira holds a Master of Science in International Relations from Kingston University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Zagreb.
