Jason Prestie has a diverse work experience in the electrical industry. Jason started their career as an Electrical Apprentice at InCom Electric Corp in 2010, where they worked on Power Distribution Skids for mining and drilling equipment. Jason also assisted a journeyman on service calls and ground-up builds of commercial buildings.

In 2011, Jason joined Canem Systems Ltd. as an Electrical Apprentice and worked on various commercial locations, including 9th Avenue Place, the University of Calgary, and Bow Valley College. Jason was later seconded to Precision Drilling.

From 2013 to 2014, Jason worked at Westcana Electric Inc. as an Electrical Apprentice, specializing in on-site wiring and installation of oil extraction plant skids and racking. Jason also planned cable layouts and installed high voltage transformers and critical systems.

In 2014, Jason returned to InCom Electric Corp as a Journeyman Electrician and Foreman. Jason completed ground-up builds, base building installs, and tenant packages for commercial buildings, industrial warehouses, and large-scale airport projects. Jason also planned layouts, created material take-offs, and managed project schedules. Additionally, they implemented and reviewed safety protocols on-site.

Most recently, Jason joined REV in 2019 as a Field Service Technician and eventually transitioned to the role of Field Service Project Manager in July 2021. Further details about their current role are unavailable.

Jason Prestie has a strong educational background in the field of electrical engineering. Jason attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) for several programs. In 2010, they began their educational journey with an Electrical Apprenticeship Training. This program lasted until 2014.

Following that, Jason pursued a Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology from SAIT, which they completed from 2017 to 2019. During their time at SAIT, they also received a Certificate in Masters Code and Applied Theory, Electrical in 2018.

Additionally, Jason has obtained various certifications throughout their career. Jason received the Red Seal Journeyman Certificate from the Government of Alberta in October 2014. In March 2015, they obtained a Class 5 Drivers License from the Government of Alberta. Continuing their pursuit of professional development, they earned the Fall Protection certification from Alberta BC Safety in May 2018. Later that year, in December 2018, Jason attained the Master Electrician Certificate from the Safety Codes Council. It is important to note that the month of obtaining the Jason Lang Scholarship from the Government of Alberta, and its field of study, were not provided.
