Miguel Jetté has extensive work experience in the field of speech recognition and artificial intelligence. Miguel started their career at McGill University as a Student's Assistant and later worked as a Teacher's Assistant. Miguel then worked as a Scientific Software Developer at the McGill Centre for Bioinformatics. Miguel then joined Nuance as a Principal Speech Scientist, where they collaborated with product teams and technical organizations to understand requirements and limitations.
Later, Miguel co-founded Temi.com, where they served as the Head of Speech Recognition and Machine Learning. Miguel played a significant role in developing a better speech recognition service and user-friendly tools. Miguel also worked at VoiceBox Technologies as a Senior Research Scientist, focusing on Language Modeling and ASR decoder technology.
Miguel's experience in the AI industry continued when they joined Rev as the Director of Speech R&D. Miguel led a team focused on exploring Speech Recognition solutions to increase productivity and develop a state-of-the-art Speech Recognition API. Miguel later became the Head of AI R&D and eventually the Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, where they worked on improving accessibility and productivity with closed captions, transcripts, and world-language subtitles.
Most recently, Miguel has joined InSummary as an Advisor. Overall, Miguel has demonstrated expertise in speech recognition, AI, and accessibility throughout their career.
Miguel Jetté obtained a DEC in Science from College de Maisonneuve in 1999. Miguel went on to complete a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science at McGill University from 1999 to 2004. Miguel then pursued an M.Sc. in Mathematics and Statistics at McGill University from 2004 to 2006.
