Dave Bergeron

Senior Vice President Venture Development at Rev1 Ventures

Dave Bergeron has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Dave began their career at IBM in 1974, where they held various technology development management roles. During their time at IBM, they played a key role in defining and implementing the microelectronics division's logic and DRAM process development strategy.

In 1995, Bergeron joined Candescent Technologies as the VP of Development and Manufacturing. Here, they were responsible for the development and implementation of a new "Field Emission Display" technology. Dave successfully grew the organization from 10 to over 400 employees and managed the team that demonstrated this innovative display.

In 1998, Bergeron moved to Applied Materials, where their responsibilities evolved from being the GM of the Etch product business group to worldwide executive management of all laboratory and technical facilities. Dave managed over 1200 employees and expanded the business, achieving market leadership in the semiconductor process equipment segment.

Bergeron then joined Tallwood Venture Capital in 2005, initially as an Executive in Residence (EIR) responsible for defining and implementing a targeted acquisition in the Semiconductor Technology Development Service Market. Dave later returned to Tallwood Venture Capital in 2010 as an EIR, focusing on business model development and executive management assistance in the areas of semiconductors, MEMS, solar, and process/equipment technologies.

Bergeron also served as the CEO/CTO of SVTC from 2009 to 2010, where they defined and implemented a unique semiconductor technology service business. Dave'sleadership resulted in successfully doubling the size of the company in less than a year through the acquisition of the Sematech Advanced Technology Development Organization.

Finally, Dave Bergeron joined Rev1 Ventures in 2014 as the Senior Vice President of Venture Development. In this role, they provide comprehensive venture acceleration services and connects entrepreneurs to necessary resources to speed up startup growth.

Throughout their career, Bergeron has demonstrated expertise in venture development, product management, customer relationship management, research and development, and business model development.

Dave Bergeron attended Georgetown University from 1970 to 1976, where they earned both a BS and MS degree. Dave'sfields of study were Physics and Math.
