John M. Belniak

John’s background brings Revelis extensive financial, operational, and transactional experience across a range of investment banking, private equity, niche consumer businesses and large corporate businesses.

At Propel, John focuses on identifying attractive investment opportunities, structuring transactions and financings, financial management and improving operating performance at portfolio companies.

While at Propel, John assumes an active operational role in each of the portfolio companies. John brings focus to the finance, legal, HR and operations side of the portfolio company through direct, hands-on interaction with management.

Prior to Propel, John was the Vice President of Corporate Development at Jarden Corporation, a multi-national, $6B NYSE diversified consumer goods company. While at Jarden, John’s responsibilities included coordination and execution of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, capital raising and re-financings. During his tenure at Jarden, John coordinated numerous acquisitions and financings of both public and private companies ranging in valuations of over $1.0 billion to less than $1.0 million. The acquisitions spanned a variety of sectors, including sporting goods, small kitchen appliances and niche branded consumer products companies. He also sat on Jarden’s investment committee and was responsible for managing Jarden’s investment strategy for its $200 million pension and 401k obligations.

In his earlier career, John worked at M Capital, a mid-cap boutique private equity fund, where he was responsible for transaction generation, due diligence and contract negotiation. Prior to M Capital, John was an Analyst at BNY Capital, a boutique investment bank.

John graduated with Honors, Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY. He currently serves on the board of directors of ALEX Brands, Vito Pro-Pak, Inc., and Nemo Equipment, Inc.
