Elizabeth Albrecht Singer

Beth Singer, a prior Chairman of the Board of Children’s Research Institute and parent Board Director, is currently Chairman of Children’s School Services and a Director, Children’s Research Institute. In the fall of 2015, she joined the board of Reveragen, a biopharma start-up devoted to treating neuromuscular diseases.

Beth was an early internet entrepreneur. Her career has been focused on the growth of small businesses. She was cofounder and chief operating officer of Digital City, the private company and later division of America Online. She also served as Director, AOL Foundation, where she launched AOL Achievers, a philanthropy designed to combine money and mentoring to deserving students of inner-city schools. Prior to AOL she helped created the internet division of The Washington Post newspapers, WashingtonPost.com. Beth also lived for a number of years in Europe while working for the international wholesale club Makro, SA as a buyer in the International Purchasing division. Post-college, she worked in her family business of real estate development where she worked for two firms as a Development Manager of office building construction and mixed-use retail developments.

Beth is a graduate of Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations. She currently resides in Great Falls, VA, where she participates in a number of philanthropic organizations including as a Director of McLean Soccer Organization and as a Board member of the Sconset Beach Preservation Fund. She lives with her husband Fred and their three boys, Aidan, Ian, and Alec.
