Prior experience includes leadership roles at CareMax, Inc., where Tavares managed national quality performance for extensive Medicare contracts, and Steward Health Care Network, where Tavares established performance improvement plans for various practices. Tavares has also held significant positions at HealthSource RI and the State of Rhode Island, focusing on operational effectiveness, project management, and quality assurance. In earlier roles, Tavares utilized Six Sigma methodologies to enhance patient safety and operational excellence at Lifespan. Tavares holds a Master's in Public Health from the University of Connecticut Health Center and a Bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University.
