Shawn Baker, M.D. has a long and varied career experience. Shawn began their professional life in 1991 as a Semi Professional Rugby Player for the Waikato Premiere League. Shawn then joined the United States Air Force in 1993 as a Nuclear Weapons Launch Officer. In 2001, they began their Orthopedic Surgical Residency at The University of Texas Medical Branch. In 2006, they returned to the United States Air Force as the Chief Of Orthopedic Trauma, Chief Of Orthopedics, and Chief Of Orthopedics at the Presbyterian Medical Group - Rust Medical Center. In 2018, they became an International Speaker and Consultant for Healthcare. In 2019, they became the Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer of Revero and the Author of The Carnivore Diet.

Shawn Baker, M.D. obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center - School of Medicine in 2001. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Biology, General from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989.
