Jeffrey Berenholz

Jeffrey Berenholz has a diverse work experience spanning several roles in the legal and compliance field. Jeffrey is currently serving as the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Annuity Health, LLC since August 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at Arcadia Recovery Bureau from August 2018. Before joining these companies, they operated their own firm, Jeffrey S. Berenholz, LLC, where they served as President & CEO starting from January 2017.

Jeffrey's earlier experiences include working at Ditech Financial LLC as an Assistant Vice President, ARM Risk Management, where they led a new business unit focused on managing legal risk and oversaw the creation of various written communications associated with charged-off debt collection. Jeffrey also served as the Director, ARM Legal Collections at Ditech Financial, where they redesigned the network of collection attorneys and implemented automation tools.

Prior to this, Jeffrey worked at Hudson & Keyse, LLC as a General Counsel, leading the establishment of an internal legal department and managing five in-house legal collection offices. Jeffrey also served as the Ohio Corporate Counsel at Hudson & Keyse during this time.

Before their tenure at Hudson & Keyse, Jeffrey ran their own law practice, Jeffrey S. Berenholz, LLC, where they specialized in estate planning and provided collection work for small businesses.

Jeffrey began their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis, where they handled legal activities and research for consumer, commercial, and probate cases.

Jeffrey Berenholz received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Brooklyn College, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. Jeffrey attended law school from 1995 to 1998.
