Carlos A. Cambero

Carlos A. Cambero has extensive work experience in the field of horticulture and greenhouse operations. Carlos A. is currently serving as the Director of Cultivation Science at Revol Greens since October 2022. Prior to this role, they worked as the Chief Grower at Revol Greens from March 2020 to September 2022.

Before joining Revol Greens, Carlos held the position of Head Grower at SunSelect Produce from September 2015 to February 2020. In this role, they were responsible for managing the growing and production operations of greenhouse crops in state-of-the-art semi-closed greenhouses with Priva automation.

Carlos also gained experience as a Greenhouse Horticulture Specialist at HortiMaX, where they bridged the gap between growers and developers, and as a Plant Sciences MSc Intern at Tomatenkewerkerij Gebr. Duijvestijn BV and HortiMaX, where they developed a project to optimize greenhouse climate control.

Additionally, Carlos conducted MSc thesis research at Wageningen University & Research, focusing on the effects of different LED lights on the leaf initiation response of tomato seedlings. Carlos A. also worked as a Grower at Divemex from July 2010 to March 2012.

Carlos A. Cambero obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry engineering, specializing in Biotechnology, from the Technological Institute of Tepic. Carlos A. attended this institution from 2004 to 2009. Afterward, they pursued a Technical specialist in greenhouse horticulture at the University of Almeria for the duration of 2010. Later on, they pursued a Masters degree in Plant Sciences, specializing in Greenhouse Horticulture, from Wageningen University & Research. This degree was completed between the years 2012 and 2014.
