Jorge De Alba

Vice President Discovery And Translational Science at Revolo Biotherapeutics

Jorge De Alba has a long and varied work experience in the biotechnology field. Jorge began their career in 1999 as a Senior Scientist at GlaxoSmithkline UK, where they worked on projects related to Nitric Oxide biology. In 2004, they moved to Imperial College London as a Postdoctoral Research Associate, where they were responsible for managing the lung function and image analysis labs, as well as mentoring and training PhD students. In 2009, they joined Almirall as the Discovery Project Team Leader and Head of the Respiratory Pharmacology Section. In 2015, they took a planned career break. In 2016, they joined Evotec as the Vice President of Anti-infectives, where they were responsible for running in vivo operations and leading a team of 16 scientists. In 2017, they worked as an Independent R&D Consultant and Discovery Leader at Peptinnovate. Finally, in 2018, they joined Immune Regulation Ltd as the Discovery Leader, where they were responsible for initiating, designing, and managing discovery activities. In 2021, they moved to Revolo Biotherapeutics as Senior Director Discovery.

Jorge De Alba obtained a Doctor degree in Neuropharmacology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid between 1993 and 1998. Jorge also obtained a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy from the same university between 1993 and 1998. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor degree in Biology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid between 1987 and 1992.
