Les Burnett

Les Burnett has extensive work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry. Les is currently employed at REVOLUTION Medicines, where they began as a Scientist II in Medicinal Chemistry from September 2016 to March 2019. Les then progressed to the role of Senior Scientist, a position they held from March 2019 to February 2022. Les was then promoted to Associate Director of Medicinal Chemistry, a position they held from February 2022 to February 2023. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at REVOLUTION Medicines from February 2023.

Prior to their time at REVOLUTION Medicines, Les worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at UCSB Materials Research Laboratory from January 2014 to July 2016, and as a Lecturer from September 2013 to December 2013. Les also served as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCSB Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry from June 2008 to June 2013. Les started their career as an Undergraduate Researcher at Temple University from January 2007 to May 2008.

Les Burnett completed their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Temple University, from 2004 to 2008. After that, they pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara, from 2008 to 2013.
