Kelvin Wong has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kelvin started their career as a Security Professional at Commissionaires BC in 2009. Kelvin then worked as a Secure Data Analyst at Checkwell Decision Corporation from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, they joined Pardon Services Canada as a Client Services role.
From 2013, Kelvin worked at Global Relay, where they initially served as a Data Migration Specialist until 2016, and then transitioned to the position of Intermediate Operations Developer (DevOps) until 2019. Subsequently, they joined Voxter Communications as a DevOps professional from 2019 to 2022.
Additionally, Kelvin has significant experience as a self-employed Freelance Developer since 2013. In this role, they used their software development expertise to solve problems for clients, handling tasks like deploying websites and creating custom CRM software using tools and technologies like Java, Spring Framework, Python, Go, MySql, Redis, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and WordPress.
Most recently, Kelvin has taken on a new position as a DevOps Engineer at Rewind in 2022.
Kelvin Wong attended Simon Fraser University from 2004 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. In 2013, they enrolled at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, completing an Associate Certificate in Applied Software Development in 2015. Also in 2015, Kelvin pursued a Web Page, Digital/Multimedia and Information Resources Design program at Lighthouse Labs. Finally, from 2015 to 2017, they returned to the British Columbia Institute of Technology to earn another Associate Certificate, this time in Applied Computer Information Systems (ACIS) with a focus on Information Technology.
