Joel Rosenberg has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Joel is currently working as a Special Projects Program Manager at Rewiring America since March 2022. Prior to this, Joel co-founded 3D Fab Light in 2015, where they sold affordable fiber laser cutters for metal tubes and sheets. Joel also served as a Project Manager at Otherlab from 2014 to 2017 and at O'Reilly Media from 2011 to 2013. Before that, Joel worked as a Curriculum Designer at Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Berkeley from 2010 to 2012, and as a Chemistry Teacher at Boston Public Schools from 2007 to 2008.
Joel's earlier experience includes being a Guest Researcher at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in 2007, a Curriculum Writer and Nanotechnology Education Associate at the Museum of Science from 2002 to 2007, and a Curriculum Developer at TERC from 2001 to 2002. Joel also gained valuable experience as a New Concepts Engineering Intern at Intel Corporation in 2000, where they worked on prototyping computer-connected toys for kids. Overall, Joel's work experience showcases their expertise in project management, curriculum design, and educational technology.
Joel Rosenberg earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they attended from 1995 to 1999. Afterwards, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) in Journalism at the Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, from 1999 to 2000.
