Leya Deren

Leya Deren currently serves as the Sr. Regional Finance Director for the East at Reworld Waste, a position held since September 2022, following various distinguished roles within the finance sector. Prior to Reworld Waste, Leya was a Senior Finance Manager at Honeywell, responsible for overseeing finances across 14 plants with an annual budget of approximately $500 million. Notable achievements include successfully navigating supply chain crises, leading significant growth, and implementing data governance strategies. Earlier experience at ASCO Power Technologies included managing finances for multiple plants and spearheading initiatives to automate reporting processes. Leya has also held positions in financial systems, reporting, and strategic analysis at Schindler Elevator Corporation and other firms, contributing to innovative solutions and cost-saving technologies. Leya holds multiple degrees, including an MBA in Financial Management and International Business from Drexel University, along with a Supply Chain Management Certificate from Rutgers University.
