Meera Udayakumar

Meera Udayakumar, MD, SFHM, currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Medical Affairs at UNC Health Rex, where a career commenced in July 2008. In addition to being a hospitalist, Meera Udayakumar holds multiple roles including Chair of Medicine for Rex Physicians and Executive Medical Director of Quality and Innovation for Triangle East. Prior experience includes serving as Medical Director for UNC Health Advanced Care at Home from March 2021 to March 2023. Meera Udayakumar completed an internal medicine residency at Duke University School of Medicine and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. An undergraduate degree in Neuroscience was obtained from The Johns Hopkins University.
