Walter Farabee

Walter Farabee, MBA, serves as the Senior Manager of Community Engagement at Reynolds American Inc. since September 2022. Prior to this, Walter held the position of Director of Economic Retention, Expansion, and Real Estate Development at Greater Winston-Salem, Inc. from March 2018 to September 2022, where responsibilities included driving strategy for employer growth and executing over $200 million in community investments. Additionally, Walter led the Director of Talent Recruitment and Retention role, focusing on attracting and retaining skilled workers. Previously, from October 2011 to March 2018, Walter worked at the City of Winston-Salem as a Project Manager, Planner, and Business Development Coordinator, where efforts included analyzing community trends and managing diversity programs. Walter holds a B.S. in Economics and Marketing from Hampton University, a Master's in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MBA from Wake Forest University School of Business.
