Laurent Drouet is a Senior Scientist at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) since 2012, specializing in scientific computing and Integrated Assessment Modeling, particularly with the WITCH model for climate change and coordinating circular economy and energy system models. Previously, Laurent served as a Senior Researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, focusing on similar modeling work. Before that, Laurent worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at CRP Henri Tudor, where responsibilities included energy system modeling and developing an economic-technical energy database. Laurent's early career included a post-doctoral fellowship at EPFL, collaborating on environmental economic modeling within the Swiss Climate Research Program, and consultancy at ORDECSYS, where energy optimization models were utilized. Laurent holds a PhD in Operations Research with a focus on Energy System Optimization and Integrated Assessment Modeling from the University of Geneva.
