Ofer Markovits

Ofer Markovits has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Ofer currently serves as the Chief Systems Architect at RGo Robotics since March 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Innoviz Technologies for three years as a Senior Systems Architect, where they were responsible for pointcloud performance, architecture definitions, and customer enablement for LiDAR products.

Before joining Innoviz Technologies, Ofer worked at Intel Corporation for over 10 years in multiple roles. Ofer served as the RealSense LiDAR Systems Architect, leading the development of LiDAR technology. Ofer also worked as the Virtual Reality HMD Lead System Architect, responsible for defining product requirements and managing customer engagements for virtual reality head-mounted devices. Additionally, they led a team of senior system engineers as the WiFi System Architecture Team Leader, focusing on WiFi core architecture and performance indicators. Prior to that, they led the Imaging System Engineering Team, designing camera pipelines for Intel SoC. Ofer started their career at Intel as a Wireless Networks Architect and Team Leader.

Ofer also gained valuable experience during their time at the Israeli Air Force (IAF) and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. At the IAF, they held the positions of Wireless Networks System R&D Team Leader and Wireless Networks Senior System Engineer. Ofer worked as a VLSI Engineer at Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.

Overall, Ofer Markovits has a strong background in systems architecture, particularly in the areas of LiDAR, virtual reality, WiFi, imaging systems, and wireless networks.

Ofer Markovits completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, starting in 1994 and graduating in 1998.
